SEOUL, South Korea—Suwon Arts Association Chairman Kim Hoon-Dong, who attended the opening of the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular in Seoul, had high praise for the show.
"The artists put on an excellent performance, and the audience was really moved by the show," said Kim.
"Presenting China's long Chinese history in an artistic way leaves the audience endless space for imagination. Korean audiences can see the true meaning of arts through the show, and experience such a mighty and joyful stage performance." Kim said he was quite impressed by Loyalty of Yue Fei, the story of the legendary Chinese general from the Song Dynasty.
"There is nothing if one has no country, as the parents, one should let the next generation understand the importance of protecting one's homeland. Although all countries are different, the principle stays the same."
Kim also praised the Spectacular's high tech, state of the art digital backdrops as well as the act The Risen Lotus Flower.
"In The Risen Lotus Flower, one of the artists sacrificed herself by protecting her mates with her own body. When she is escorted to heaven by Buddha and God, the scene is really moving."
"Art has no boundaries… people are deeply moved by the message delivered by Divine Performance Arts in such a way." said Kim.
