VANCOUVER—The Chinese Spectacular continues to grace the stage during its run at Surrey's Bell Performing Arts Centre, treating the audience to a portrayal of the true traditional culture of China.

Lorne Hardy, a retired auditor, and his daughter, Susan, a government employee, were in the audience for Saturday's matinee, which played to a full house. They both agreed that the Spectacular was the best performance that they had seen in quite some time.

"It was Fantastic. Of course being into music, I loved the tenor but I loved the presentations which were so tastefully and so professionally done. All the ladies were of just really high quality. The presentation really reached the audience at all times—it was really good," Mr. Hardy said.

"I think the message was one of real culture shown in its finest and best form."

Susan appreciated the effort and the discipline of the performers and commented on the other aspects of the show.

"The combination of the costumes, the effort, and certainly the training were great. The same men and women coming out and doing the dance time after time, the costume changes, the spectacular costumes and the grace was so impressive."

She also felt that the show achieved an overall cohesive balance.

"I think everything combined with the music itself too was so great. I really enjoyed it—more than anything for a long time. We've been to many cultural shows and this would be a 10 out of 10 for sure."

After traveling to over 60 countries on four continents, the New York-based Divine Performing Arts will wind up the Canadian leg of its 2008 international tour with shows in Calgary from April 30-May 2, and in Edmonton from May 5-7.
