VANCOUVER, Canada—George Taylor, a member of thef Vancouver Symphony board of directors, enjoyed the Divine Performing Arts Chinese Spectacular currently playing at the Bell Performing Arts in Surrey on Saturday.

"The interpretation of mythology and thought, song and feelings was very well done," he said. "The first performance with the fog coming out it looked like they were floating."

Taylor said he only likes certain North American ballets; however, he was impressed by the Chinese classical dance presented in the Spectacular.

"I'm a fan of symphony and I like some North American operas, but this is my first experience with Chinese dance and singing, so I quite enjoyed it."

After traveling to over 60 countries on four continents, the New York-based Divine Performing Arts will wind up the Canadian leg of its 2008 international tour with shows in Calgary from April 30-May 2, and in Edmonton from May 5-7.
