Good day. It's Campbell Newman, Lord Mayor of Brisbane. Every year at this time, millions of people across Australia, enjoy the wonderful festivities of the Chinese New Year. My own family and I love to get out enjoy the food, the great culture events and some of the spectacle of the season.

This year particularly, there is a great treat available locally on the 17th, 18th of March, in Brisbane and Gold Coast, there is the Chinese New Year Spectacular, been put on by New Tang Dynasty TV. This year we celebrate the Year of the Pig. I hope all of you can enjoy the great festive season with family and friends.
