I am very pleased to send you my greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular.

Ottawa is very fortunate to be hosting a performance by the internationally renowned Divine Performing Arts. I know that this cultural extravaganza will delight the NAC audience as it has delighted crowds around the world. What a fitting way to celebrate the most important day of the year on the Chinese calendar and to share with Canadians the richness and variety of the Chinese cultural heritage.
