I want to wish all of my friends a very happy New Year, The Year of the Rat. You know, one of the ways we can improve in the future is to look at the past, look at the successful aspects of our past. That’s why I am so pleased that my friends in the Chinese American community are looking to the traditional values of the Chinese culture, respect for our neighbors, honoring our elders, understanding tolerance for the views of others, and the importance of education.
