I would like to welcome all of you to the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular hosted by the Divine Performing Arts.
This year we are honored to have the Divine Performing Arts from New York come to Las Vegas for this historic celebration. Over the past two years, this group has entertained people all over the world, and finally it has brought a tremendous show to the entertainment capital of the world. Through their exhilarating performances of classical Chinese dances and music, we have the opportunity to appreciate and take pleasure in this extraordinary cross cultural event.
Keeping the values and memories of your ancestors alive adds to the greatness of our country. It's wonderful to see so many diverse cultures each retaining its own unique traditions, and yet all still proudly calling themselves Americans. On this holiday, I appreciate and share your commitment to family values and community, which I greatly admire.
