New York-Contrasting the busy streets and fast pace of the city that never sleeps, Divine Performing Arts wowed audiences again Friday night with their Chinese New Year Splendor at New York's
Radio City Music Hall
"It was an extravaganza," said Mr. Arminteros, who had come with his wife to enjoy the show. "It was a great, a spectacular show . . . very colorful, very enlightening, and very different."
Seeking to rekindle the spirit of a culture in what was once referred to as "The Divine Land"; the show presented elements of classical Chinese dance and song that are hard to find elsewhere. "The dancing was something I'd never seen before. Their dancing was very, very nice," said Mrs. Arminteros.
"There is a sense of peacefulness, tranquility," added Mr. Arminteros.
From gentle fan dances to the powerful Tang Dynasty drums, accompanied with a variety of both the Eastern and Western instruments of the accompanying Divine Performing Arts Orchestra, the show gave a rare and unique experience to much of the audience. "I can say I saw things that I never knew about the Chinese culture, said Mrs. Arminteros. "A tranquil feeling remains from watching the show."
