On behalf of the staff of The New American Magazine, it is my pleasure to wish the viewing audience of New Tang Dynasty TV throughout the world a very happy New Year. I wish also to congratulate NTDTV for again producing another excellent New Year Gala with such spectacular artistry and inspiration. I was very fortunate to be able to attend the 2006 Gala and was stunned by the outstanding visual and aural experience, which engages and moves one physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.

The motto of The New American, which appears on the cover of every issue of our magazine, is that Freedom Shall Not Perish.  We applaud NTDTV's forthright stand for freedom and truth. True artistic expression and cultural richness are not possible except in a free society. In the past half century, the communist government of China has destroyed much of the great cultural heritage of the Chinese people. NTDTV has done, and is doing, much to reverse that destruction by introducing millions of people (both Chinese and non-Chinese) to that treasured heritage and to the truth about freedom and tyranny. We wish continued great success.
