Greetings and welcome to Philadelphia on the occasion of your Chinese New Year Global Spectacular performances at the Merriam Theater January 23 and 24, to mark the oncoming Chinese Year 4705.
Philadelphians are pleased to have the opportunity to view four performances of this Spectacular as one of just 29 cities chosen to host this global tour showcasing Asian cultures.
The Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center and the Delaware Asian Culture Center, as co-sponsors, are to be commended for arranging two matinee performances especially for school children and senior citizens groups. The schools of our city and region are strongly committed to diversity and global cultural enrichment, so your educational outreach is especially appreciated.
