I want to thank you for this opportunity to share my enthusiastic support for the current efforts to provide a meaningful tradition and grand celebration of the Chinese New Year for the citizens of the Philadelphia area. Although my legislative duties on the House floor prevent me from sharing these thoughts in person, it is my personal and professional pleasure to thank the Greater Philadelphia Asian Culture Center for their efforts to deliver such a spectacular celebration to our region.
As I am sure you will agree the Chinese New Year Global Spectacular is an excellent opportunity to share China’s rich cultural heritage through beautiful performances and brilliant pageantry. The festivities are certain to generate cross-cultural understanding and an appreciation for cultural diversity as a whole.
I hope this letter sufficiently serves as a proclamation of my wholehearted support for the 2007 Chinese New Year Global Spectacular. Once again, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration.
